  • ICSP e-learning for Global Welfare - Audio-visual Material
    ICSP has developed an audio-visual resource page, which includes a list of films and video clips of relevance to teaching on global welfare. The material is catergorised by theme (e.g. children, debt, gender, health, human rights, labour) to help you to locate the resources that might be of most interest to you.

    This NC State University website provides information about the assessment and evaluation of student learning in higher education. There are links to articles, books and journal articles, along with other resources on assessing student learning.

    A network of universities and outside experts rooted in the University of Amsterdam, offering innovative courses online.
  • SWAP - Using social policy research in teaching
    A case study to illustrate ways in which academics have used social policy research in teaching. In this case study, the lecturer aims to develop students' appreciation of research/consultancy in the discipline by using teaching and learning processes which simulate research processes.
  • World Events in Context
    The Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), a non-profit media enterprise, offer a family of sites which have been created in order to help teachers, students, and the general public to learn more about events around the world through readings, lesson plans, links, timelines, and maps.

    Reports and basic guides to the world, describing global social, political and economic trends, in formats designed so that anyone can easily read them. It also has data sets, on international social, political and economic issues, in spreadsheets that anyone can use for research or education. It also links to other sites with data, theory, research about social, political and economic change.
  • Methods - Program Evaluation and Social Research
    Has a set of pamplets "What is program evaluation, beginners guides" that describe program evaluation and it's methods, in formats easy for anyone to understand. There are also links to free on line books, guides, manuals, about many methods for program evaluation and social research, such as surveys, interviews, focus groups. There are also links to free statistical software.
