Below is an image of a typical village home in Samarsingha. This house is in Barisal - one of the 64 districts of Bangladesh. The houses are covered by tin and bamboo is used for the walls. The floors are clay and are often (usually once a week) covered with a thin layer of clay for maintainance.

Below is an image of the cooking area or kitchen. This is usually a separate section of the house, away from the sleeping areas or bedrooms. The floor is made of clay and in such a way that different sources of fuel, like wood, can be used to keep the fire burning.
