ICSP GLOBAL WELFARE STUDY

Dear colleagues,
We are writing to request your assistance in our project which aims to enhance the electronic resources available for teaching, learning and research in the area of Global Welfare Studies i.e. study which includes either or both of the areas of international and comparative social policy, broadly defined.

The project E-learning Global Welfare Studies is funded by C-SAP with support from SWAPltsn and is being undertaken by Zoë Irving (University of Sheffield), Nicola Yeates (Open University) and Athina Bogdani Das (University of Sheffield). Some of the work will be undertaken in collaboration with the Globalism and Social Policy Programme (GASPP) Director Bob Deacon and Theo Papadopoulos at the University of Bath. Through the project we intend to develop a range of freely accessible web-based information sources, practical exercises and other materials, which will facilitate the work of students and teachers in the area of global welfare studies. In order to assist us in designing and developing these resources we would like to canvass the views of those involved in teaching and learning in this area.

If you teach or have taught in the area of global welfare studies we would be extremely grateful if you could take a few minutes to answer the following questionnaire (three questions)

If you do not teach in this area we would also be extremely grateful if you could send this page to any colleagues to whom it might be relevant. With many thanks in anticipation of your support.

Best Wishes

Zoë Irving and Nicola Yeates(Convenors, ICSP Group)
